Robyn Taylor

Associate Principal, Director of Interior Design

“Design is a business of trust and brings the business strategy to life, building brand value and competitive advantage. Great design starts with honesty and evolves from collaboration and trusting one’s own intuition.”

Robyn’s passion for design began around age 9, while creating the scenery for school plays at Holland Elementary in the suburbs of Philadelphia where she grew up. Her love for form and structures followed, creating buildings with her brother’s erector set and drawing plans of neighbors’ houses to see how she could reconfigure the spaces. Little did she know then, that her developing skill, curiosity and affinity for all things design would lead her along a path that she already respected and enjoyed.

A Certified Interior Designer with almost three decades of experience in the commercial design industry, Robyn is regarded as an expert in the delivery of transformational experiences for creative environments which promote clear branding, learning, collaboration, efficiency and clear communication.
Inventive and inspiring, she explores all opportunities to provide value, each project referencing the mutual vision shared with her client and leveraging her experiences and proven thought leadership.

As the Director of Interior Design Robyn incorporates solid design and organizational strategy, guiding key decision makers toward solutions for their most challenging business drivers, with a focus on listening and understanding. This ensures that the approach, direction and follow-through are all in alignment. Robyn mentors to her team of talented design professionals and engages leading edge consultants in the technology, financial, professional service, software and creative industries for both new construction and renovation projects.

Robyn’s projects have been featured in both local and national publications, from the Orange County Business Journal to Interior Design Magazine, with several projects under her leadership receiving the industry’s prestigious Calibre Award. Her significant experience in key practice areas includes domestic and international clients such as Google, Panasonic Avionics, Christie Digital, Extron Electronics, YidaTec, Emaar, Synoptek, Alcoa, Alignment Healthcare, Bank of America, Lennar, Hines Development and The Irvine Company.

Robyn is President of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), leading the Southern California region, has been a presenter at NeoCon World Trade Fair in Chicago, and is a frequent guest lecturer in Innovation and Design Management at the Merage Graduate School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. Robyn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architectural Design from California State Unversity, Long Beach.

Believing that design is more “who you are” than “what you do”, much of Robyn’s spare time still incorporates some design exploration, design education through travel, and mentorship of our next generation. Beyond design, Robyn is a compassionate supporter of those who have no voice, providing assistance and outreach to local organizations which offer relief services to those who are food insecure or experiencing homelessness, as well as the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abused and abandoned animals.
