Saddleback High School Digital Media Lab

At the intersection of technology and education, Westgroup Designs transformed Saddleback High School’s vision for a next-generation learning environment into a dynamic reality. Completed in Summer 2023 and funded by $1.5 million in CTE Grant funding, the Digital Media Lab reimagines two existing classrooms into state-of-the-art production and collaboration spaces designed to support mobile-oriented media technologies and prepare students for careers in digital content creation.

The new facility features an impressive array of industry-relevant spaces, including:

  • 2 Broadcast Studios
  • 1 Podcasting Studio
  • 6 Edit Stream Suites
  • 2 Stage Suites
  • 1 Tech Equipment Workroom

Supporting these specialized spaces is a 2,600 square foot Collaboration Studio, designed with flexibility at its core. Outfitted with adaptable furnishings and movable partitions, the studio accommodates a variety of class configurations, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning.

With its industrial aesthetic and future-forward functionality, the Saddleback High School Digital Media Lab serves as a model for modern CTE environments—where flexibility, mobility, and innovation are embedded in the learning experience. This project reflects Westgroup Designs’ ongoing commitment to redefining educational spaces and empowering the next generation of storytellers, creators, and collaborators.
