For the design of their own newest office in Culver City, “High Tech” meets “High Touch” where Westgroup Designs delivers a flexible workplace environment, which empowers teams to keep up with the rapidly evolving market sectors they serve while inspiring creative solutions for unique event experiences.
Emerald Expositions is a leading organizer of business-to-business and consumer tradeshows across the United States, connecting hundreds of thousands of buyers and sellers in 10 different end markets. They help professionals better serve their customers and grow their businesses, and when they needed help launching their 13th office in Culver City, they partnered with Westgroup Designs (WD) to design and deliver their new standard for the company’s workplace environment.
Emerald Expositions required their newest workspace to feature improved flexibility and mobility for future growth, while incorporating modern technology and a warm, industrial aesthetic throughout. WD’s design solution creates lean and agile activity-based work spaces to allow the company’s teams to do their best work and keep up with the rapidly evolving needs of the industries they serve and the functions required to support their clients.
Providing workplace strategies, programming and interior design services, Westgroup Designs created a work environment with large, open flexible space that allows teams to rework areas as needed and collaboration zones that serve to integrate various departments intuitively. The 6,700 square foot tenant improvement features a lobby, conference rooms, open work stations, four flex/collaboration areas, eight private offices and a staff lounge/café.
Reclaimed wood, brick veneer, concrete, glass, stone and steel comprise the natural material palette, which offsets the crisp, streamlined white furnishings and bright open ceilings. Custom lighting configurations throughout cleverly support the high tech spaces while reflecting the industrial vibe.
The main conference space incorporates an operable partition where a rustic industrial aesthetic was teamed with the modern flexibility to create multiple meeting solutions, which can accommodate anywhere from 8 people in two separate rooms to 22 people in a single space with ease. Open office sit-stand workstations and 270 degrees of natural daylight, supported by fully-dimmable lighting reinforces the company’s passion for wellness in the workplace. Touch-down “hot desking” spaces, lounges and work counters engage and lend purpose to transition spaces.
The result? “High Tech” meets “High Touch” in the design of Emerald Expositions newest office in Culver City, where Westgroup Designs delivers a workplace experience that empowers teams to keep up with the rapidly evolving industries they serve while incorporating built-in flexibility for future growth.
