24 Carrots is a full-service catering and events company serving all of Southern California, that engaged Westgroup Designs to help the Chef owner and his team achieve their vision for growth and expansion in a new location serving as both corporate headquarters and main commercial event production facility. Their focus on high quality, extraordinary events and strong emphasis on personalized service has a simple approach: to hold themselves to exceptionally high standards, because their clients deserve the absolute finest.
As WD shares this vision for service and creation of an exceptional experience, we transformed an old, vacant 35,000 square foot, tilt-up warehouse shell into a collaborative, flexible and dynamic new headquarters to be both beautiful and functional, with a testimony to efficiency. From its infrastructure engineering supporting a commercial laundry and full-service, round-the-clock kitchen, to fitting the entire facility with Solatube daylighting, paired with the latest LED illumination, both the building itself and interior space accommodate future development of the company’s abundant business goals. Coming from an ineffective environment which hindered productivity and progress, the organization of the new facility encourages effortless connection between the client spaces, feature display, tasting, and work rooms, corporate office, support and social areas, production warehouse space, and immense 10,000 square foot commercial kitchen.
Balancing a mid-century modern aesthetic with a comfortable, contemporary style and high technology, the character of both client and staff spaces reflect the imagination and creativity of the event design business, with attention to detail, originality and whimsy, illustrated in smart combinations of finishes, materials, textures, patterns, color and graphics. After moving in, the staff was energized to collaborate, seek out opportunities to innovate processes and found much more delight in developing, implementing and sharing infinite ideas in this inspiring new home.
