Alignment Healthcare is partnering with Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s operator in Florida to implement an innovative patient-centered model of care for seniors across the state. Critical to that plan involves opening comprehensive care centers in local neighborhoods, and they collaborated with Westgroup Designs to design a more personalized care experience.
In providing planning, architecture and interior design services, Westgroup Designs converted retail tenant spaces at five Florida locations into comprehensive care clinics. The tenant improvements range from 5,000 – 7,500 square feet each, and include patient check-in, vitals and screening areas, exam rooms, laboratory, and medical office spaces. These care centers serve as a convenient home base for most of seniors’ preventive health services, treatment and education for managing chronic conditions, and act as a critical extension of the coordinated care they receive through their primary care physician..
