The Home Gardens Library renovation transformed an existing 11,620-square-foot community library into a more welcoming, functional, and accessible destination for residents of all ages. Westgroup Designs provided architectural, and interior design services focused on modernizing the facility while creating flexible spaces that better support learning, collaboration, and community programming.
The renovation included both interior and exterior improvements designed to enhance the overall user experience. Outdoor enhancements featured a renovated playground with improved safety and accessibility, complemented by a refreshed exterior color palette inspired by the surrounding natural landscape. Inside, the library was reconfigured to introduce dedicated study rooms, a children's storytime area, renovated restrooms, upgraded lighting and electrical systems, and contemporary finishes throughout. Interior colors and materials drew inspiration from nearby sunflower fields and open grasslands, creating a bright, welcoming environment that reflects the character of the community.
The completed renovation provides the County of Riverside with a modern, flexible library that supports education, creativity, and community engagement while offering an inviting space for visitors of every generation.
