Monrovia Unified School District-Wide Elementary School Playgrounds

Westgroup Designs collaborated with Monrovia Unified School District to enhance accessibility and reimagine outdoor play experiences across four elementary school campuses. Focused on ADA upgrades and playground modernizations, the projects reflect the District’s commitment to inclusive, engaging, and safe environments for all students.

The scope included restroom building modifications, new pre-manufactured and custom shade structures, and associated playground improvements tailored to each site’s needs:

• Plymouth Elementary School: Restroom building upgrades, one new shade structure, and improved play areas.
• Wildrose School of Creative Arts: Renovation of Building C restrooms, installation of one shade structure, and playground enhancements.
• Canyon Early Learning Center: Construction of three new shade structures with accompanying play area improvements.
• Mayflower Elementary School: Installation of a pre-manufactured shade structure and playground upgrades.

Through thoughtful design and strategic improvements, WD helped Monrovia Unified create more welcoming, functional, and inspiring spaces for students to learn, play, and grow.
