Westgroup Designs provided planning, architectural, and interior design services for the adaptive reuse and renovation of an existing 9,201 SF industrial warehouse into a permanent supportive housing facility for the City of Riverside. The project transformed the building into a safe, welcoming residential environment that provides long-term housing and essential support services for individuals experiencing homelessness. Comprehensive interior and exterior improvements included residential living accommodations, counseling and administrative offices, kitchen and dining facilities, laundry facilities, accessible restrooms, shared community spaces, site enhancements, and upgraded building systems designed to support the facility’s new residential use.
Thoughtfully designed to promote dignity, safety, and long-term well-being, the facility provides residents with a comfortable, supportive environment that encourages stability, independence, and community connection. The completed project delivers a modern, functional housing community that helps the City of Riverside address a critical need while creating lasting value for both residents and the surrounding community.
