Southwest Justice Center’s exterior emanated professionalism and timelessness, so we went in to make sure its interiors had the same effect.
Southwest Justice Center stands as an icon to the local community, filling the urban skyline of Murrieta City and seen daily by its community members. The outside of the facility holds influence and presence, but the County of Riverside needed the interiors of its 185,000 sf building to mirror this expression. They asked us for an intimate environment pleasant for employees but reflective of a community-centered court system, so we responded.
In providing interior planning, interior design, furniture and fixed equipment and interior tenant improvement services, we knew that a complete, successful architectural solution meant unifying elements of the exterior with its interiors. We carefully crafted the interior environment of courtrooms, judges’ chambers, public spaces, administrative offices and public/private judicial functions to express and reflect the clean, well-proportioned massing and detailing of the structure.
The result? The clean design yielded efficiency with its effective details and space planning, providing for a pleasant and positive workspace as well as a contemporary yet professional courtroom environment.
