About

As Healthcare Principal, Tom continues his mission to provide exceptional leadership to meaningful design of highly successful buildings and environments. Tom promotes the vision of enhancing the lives of people through strategy-based design experiences, focusing on development of highly collaborative methodologies as the fundamental approach to all work.

Throughout his 38-year career in architecture, Tom directed large healthcare campus projects for Kaiser Permanente in San Leandro, California and Hillsboro, Oregon, and for Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California. His career also included leading collaborative teams on large design projects abroad, for the new EWHA Woman’s University Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. Tom provided leadership on multiple, extremely important projects for the University of California, Irvine, including authoring detailed project programs for cancer research and other lab types. Every project, and each client that Tom is connected with, is treated with a great sense of purpose. His signature characteristics include active listening, comprehensive attention to detail and transparent communication. Fostering trusted long-term relationships that thrive and empowering teams to grow and succeed are Tom’s key focus. Tom obtained his Bachelor of Architecture in 1983 from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, and has been a practicing registered architect in California since 1990. He has served various firms as Healthcare Studio Leader, Office and Regional Manager and Project Director.
